Brian and I were grateful to steal Tanya away from her very busy schedule. She was extremely generous with her time and we were able to go way back in Tanya’s journey to becoming a Chef/Restaurateur. We briefly spoke about the Black Lives Matter movement and how it has affected her and how she feels about the attention that the movement is getting. We were jealous to hear about her first few guests on her own podcast and loved getting to know her more than we did. Tanya Holland is the Executive Chef and owner of Brown Sugar Kitchen, where the food reflects a unique interpretation of soul food influenced by Tanya’s family history of entertaining, her formal training at La Varenne Ecole de Cuisine and her love of food from around the world.
