The Astro Sondra and Brian on the road this week with Liza Hinman, who is one of the hardest working Chef/Owners in Santa Rosa. Her Spinster Sisters restaurant opened in 2012 and took Santa Rosa by storm. She has paid her dues working in some fantastic kitchens fine-tuning her trade. Originally from the East Coast, she eventually ventured west, landed in San Francisco, met her future husband and moved back with him to Sonoma County where his family is from. She is a creative entrepreneur and a visionary that cares deeply about THE LORE. She was able to see a neighborhood that she could reinvigorate – dived in with Spinster Sisters and continues to invest in the community (with her business partner, Eric Anderson) – most recently with the Astro Motel and another project in the works. She shares some of her visions for the future, her desire to be a balanced human with her business and family. One of the best parts of this podcast was the smells that were coming out of her kitchen the whole time we were there – can’t wait to go back to eat there!! [EP59]
