Chef Manuel Azevedo’s signature Cozinha Nova Portuguesa – “New Portuguese Cuisine” – celebrates the varied and complex flavors of his native Portuguese homeland while adapting them to the immense offerings of top-quality ingredients from his current home in California. Manuel is a local, living in Sonoma County his whole life, fell into his passion for different reasons than most chefs. He has two restaurants in Sonoma now and an incredibly beautiful cookbook that is simply a masterpiece and a love story to Portuguese cooking. He is an advocate for teaching young people how to cook.
