EP36: Bohemian Creamery lies just a mile outside downtown Sebastopol California on a hilltop overlooking the Laguna de Santa Rosa, the Mayacama mountains and our herd of Alpine dairy goats. It also happens to be Sonoma County’s first “Latteria”, offering all things milk, including whey sodas, goat yogurt and more. Inspired by all things Italian, Lisa has created her California cheeses with Italian traditions. Part of the fun for Lisa has been naming the 18 cheeses, whether it be Romeo, the holiday cheese or Twist and Shout or ShredHead there is no lack in creativity on top of impeccable tasting and produced cheeses. Sold only in the shop, a handful of specialty cheese shops and many restaurants in Wine Country and San Francisco, the girl & the fig has been honored to offer Lisa’s cheeses from just about her beginning.
