“When we focus on hearing each other everyone will feel heard.” — Dr. NYC
Today’s guest who we will call Dr. NYC for the purposes of this interview. She is a clinical psychologist who specializes in working with families and parents co-parenting after divorce and separation.
If you’d like to catch up with Dr. NYC then reach out to me via my website (laurenlogi.com) and I will connect you directly.
As you’re going into the holidays and spending more time with family remember a few things:
It’s not always about that moment, it’s about a larger issue
If you’re going to speak about something difficult, which we should be doing, make sure there’s fair fighting, some sort of agreed upon rules and etiquette.
If people are not going to abide by these rules then you shouldn’t be having the conversation because at that point no one is open to new ideas anyway.
Know what your boundaries are and stick to them. [EP101]
