Nick welcomes film critics Erik Childress and Steve Prokopy to talk about, and review some new movies including, a Netflix documentary about the 80s group Wham!, a raunchy comedy called “Joyride,” and the insane new “Mission: Impossible” film with Tom Cruise. They also talk about the 70mm Film Festival happening at the Music Box Theatre in Chicago. Then, Esmeralda Leon and Nick also talk about the greatness of Wham!, the 4th of July, and peeing on the wall at Dave Matthews’ concerts. They also try to navigate the brand new ‘Twitter’ rival called ‘Threads,’ and discuss how the app has the unfortunate luck of sharing a name with one of the most horrifying movies ever made about nuclear fallout and the end of the world (which actually might be appropriate). They also, oddly, chat about how Steven Spielberg is responsible for the creation of the PG-13 movie rating. [EP156]
