Dr. Strange hit theaters last week, and so far it’s going gang busters at the box office. Keith wonders if we’ll ever hit Peak Marvel. Is there a Marvel bubble or do they just have a pretty solid business model? Keith and Elliott discuss.
Next weekend, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them will look to bump off Dr. Strange. During the press junkets, David Yates said Dumbledore will show up in the Fantastic Beats movies, possibly even the second movie. Elliott and Keith put on their casting director hats and wonder who should play the young(er) Dumbledore.
Meanwhile, a writer for the Washington Post is taking fan theories to task. Fan theories are becoming a national pastime, both trying to predict what will happen on shows and trying to assign deeper meaning to everything you see on the show. People have done plenty of speculating with The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones, both of which had source material to draw from. Things have come to a head with Westworld, because there isn’t any source material, so everyone is guessing together. Does it make the viewing experience better or worse?
